Will Blair pull a fast one?
William Hill have reacted to growing speculation of an election date by cutting their odds on a snap poll in March.
After closing their book on any date in May, Hill’s have also reduced their price on the date being outside that month, amidst growing talk of a quick election next month. The bookmakers have slashed odds from 10/1 to 5/1 for a General Election being called in any month other than May.
Hills make Labour 1/8 favourites to win as the largest single party, but offer 9/2 on the Conservatives and 40/1 on the Liberal Democrats. They are also offering 8/1 that Ken Livingstone will resign as Mayor of London before the General Election takes place.
